the wild things upon it. Join us as we explore and discover the secrets the mountains hold!

Enjoy fly fishing, Leave No Trace, kayak and Dutch oven demos, kid’s crafts, Green Fire movie, Sand County Almanac readings around a nighttime campfire, homemade ice cream, learn new camping skills, sharpen your Nature senses, enjoy a scavenger hunt, and much more!!!

Estella Leopold, Aldo's daughter and Professor Emeritus of the University of Washington will introduce. Friends of Luther Burbank Park host. Donations appreciated.

FREE public screening of Green Fire, followed by Q&A with filmmaker Steve Dunsky. The Eco-Film series was developed to educate, inspire and encourage community participation in a wide range of environmental quality and sustainability issues. The City of El Cerrito Environmental Quality Committee (EQC) hosts free screenings of selected films periodically throughout the year.

Kick off the summer season of outdoor activities and celebrate National Trails Day! The North Carolina Zoo presents this showing of the Aldo Leopold story.

We will show Greenfire on May 26 and 27, at 10:15, 11:45, 1:15 and 2:45 each day, at no charge. Raisin Expectations is an informal group of mainly natural resource related organizations that will have a very nice venue where these groups will have displays. This is part of a much larger weekend event organized by Oh These Irish Hills! designed to attract people to the Irish Hills area; there is a map/flyer being distributed with our location and mention of Green Fire to help promote

Discovering the birds, wildflowers, geology and more of this dynamic and rich northern landscape is the focus of the Boreal Birding & Northern Landscape Festival. A series of inter-related, field-focused courses (1-3 days in length) form the backbone of the event, complimented by featured presentations and programs.

In celebration of National Trails Day, come join us in a showing of the first film highlighting the life of Aldo Leopold and his influence on the modern conservation movement.

A discussion will be led by DNR biologists following the film!

Prior to screening the film, the Wilderness staff of the Pacific R.D. of the Eldorado National Forest will present a brief update on Desolation Wilderness, its management, the overnight permit process and trip planning. The event is FREE but limited to 45 persons. Register online at the REI website.

The 2012 Forest Lyceum Lecture Series concludes with Green Fire: Aldo Leopold and a Land Ethic for our Time. FREE, and open to the public. Sponsored by Great Mountain Forest

Registered participants of Ozark Summit 2012 will view the film. Afterwards, Janice Schnake Greene, Professor of Biology, will speak about "After Leopold’s Land Ethic: Education and Experiences" and moderate a panel composed of conference plenary speakers. Public is welcome on a space-available basis.

Outdoor Film Screening begins at Dusk

“Green Fire: Aldo Leopold and a Land Ethic for Our Time” a 72-minute film about well-known conservationist Aldo Leopold and how his legacy continues today through the work of people and organizations all over the country. Leopold attended forestry school at Grey Towers in the early 1900s, which inspired him to pursue a career teaching others about land ethics as a product of social evolution.
Rain or shine in our outdoor amphitheatre (bring a picnic dinner, blankets and/or lawn chairs) or our tented terrace area (sorry, no food allowed). Sponsored by the Grey Towers Heritage Association and the U.S. Forest Service at Grey Towers.

Green Fire is being presented by the Timberland Regional Library and Olympic National Forest. The public is invited to attend. Please note that the library closes at 7 p.m. and will only be open for the presentation following that time.

Our World Speaker Series at the Minnesota Zoo. We will be watching the film then have remarks by Mr. Curt Meine after the film.

Visit Holy Wisdom Monastery for a screening of the film Green Fire about the land ethic proposed by Aldo Leopold. Joining us for a short reflection after the film on the land ethic will be two trained Land Ethic Leaders from the Aldo Leopold Foundation in Baraboo: Marian Farrior and Ruthann Corrao.
