Pheasants Forever Grant Program for Leopold Events
We are happy to announce an exciting new grant opportunity! The Leopold Education Project and the Aldo Leopold Foundation decided to use the funds raised at last year’s LEP conference auction to create a small community grants program. The goal of the program is to foster the spirit of Aldo Leopold and his conservation ethic in communities through funding of hands-on activities in which participants learn firsthand about Leopold’s land ethic, experience his writings and apply his teachings. New and existing Leopold Weekend events are eligible for this grant! Read more details about how to apply here. If you have questions please contact Cheryl Riley at Pheasants Forever.

Remembering Kathy Pelzek
If you visited the Leopold Center in the last two years, you probably met Kathy Pelzek. She worked at the center's front desk, receiving visitors with her warm smile and cheery disposition. A neighbor of the Leopold Memorial Reserve, Kathy was deeply committed to the foundation's work and mission. It is with great sadness that we announce her passing last month, following a courageous battle with cancer. We will all miss her eternal smile, positive attitude, and the energy she brought to work with her every day.
